Course -1:
“Assistant Plant Care Taker”
Objectives of the Course:
- To be a part as an assistant gardener to help and maintain the garden set up under the gardener’s supervision.
- To gain knowledge and Skills that which carries out for harvesting and assists in preparing the gardens/ Fields.
- To develop and increase their Skills &Personal Attributes as an individual, and physically fit to work for longer duration.
- To develop the skills to follow the instructions and to pay the attention towards the working area.
- To Improve their Skills to co-ordinate and to work with a team of experts by developing good communication skills.
- To develop the skills to handle the tools and machinery for the utilization under work process.
Highlights of the Course:
- CRC, Davanagere had started the skill training on “Assistant Plant Care Taker (Intellectual Disability)” Course on 15th February 2024 under PM-DAKSH Scheme with DEPwD, MSJ&E. Total 20 students had enrolled.
- As per SCPwD’s curriculum, 630 hours and additional 70 hours, total 700 hours of training have been provided to the trainees.
- On 30th September 2024, total 18 trainees have successfully attended the examination and completed the course.
- The admissions for the Course “Assistant Plant Care Taker (Intellectual Disability)” will be startmomentarily.
Course -2:
“Employability Skills”
Objectives the Course:
- Employability skills, also known as transferable skills or soft skills, are qualities and abilities that enable individuals to excel in the workplace and adapt to changing job demands.
- To help them to stand out from other candidates and contribute to your success in the workplace.
- To Preparing the PWD’s for jobs: Preparing the students and youth with Persons with Disabilities for jobs that may not yet exist.
- To develop and increase their communication Skills & Personal Attributes as an individual, and physically fit to work for longer duration.
- To increase their ability to coordinate in teamwork by developing their, problem-solving, adaptability, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- To Gain work experience: Ensuring students gain experience in the world of work.
- To develop the skills to follow the instructions and to pay the attention towards the working area.
- To make them to Learn about the local labor market: Providing students with knowledge of the local labor market and opportunities in growth sectors.

Highlights of the Course:
- CRC Davanagere started the Employability Skill training on “Employability Skills for Persons with Disabilities” Skill Training course with 14 Students (First Batch) on 10th August 2024 under PM-DAKSH Scheme with DEPwD, MSJ&E.
- As per SCPwD’s curriculum, 70 hours of training was provided to the trainees.
- Total 14 trainees have been successfully completed the course.
- The New Batch of will be going to start momentarily.
Course -3:
“Free Coaching for Students with Disabilities (SwDs)”
The Free Coaching for Students with Disabilities scheme under the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD) is a centrally sponsored scheme that provides financial assistance to CRC Davanagere for providing free coaching to students with disabilities for competitive examinations.
The scheme is open to students with disabilities who have at least 40% disability and are preparing for competitive examinations conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), Staff Selection Commission (SSC), various Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) for Group ‘A’ and ‘B’ posts, State Public Service Commissions for Group ‘A’ and ‘B’ posts, and other competitive examinations for admission in higher educational institutions and jobs.
Objectives the Course:
- Preparing the PwD’s for various governmentcompetitive examinations i.e. IBPS, Nationalized banks, Government insurance companiesand PSUs.
- To develop and increase their Skills & Personal Attributes as an individual, and physically fit to work for longer duration.
- To increase their ability to coordinate in teamwork by developing their, problem-solving, adaptability, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- It provides free coaching to students with disabilities for competitive examinations.
- It helps students with disabilities to improve their academic performance and to compete effectively in competitive examinations.
- It increases the chances of students with disabilities getting admission in higher educational institutions and finding jobs.
- It helps to empower students with disabilities and to improve their quality of life.

The Free Coaching for Students with Disabilities scheme provides a number of benefits to students with disabilities, including:
